Happy Belated Australia Day, to all the Australians reading. To me that can mean only one thing the day of Triple J’s Hottest 100.
An Australian tradition of tuning in with the family hoping that your votes get the top song. In my opinion this year was pretty good.
The top spot ending up going to Flume’s Never Be Like You a very popular and widely loved song (though it’s not my taste) then followed by Adore by Amy Shark and Jungle by Tash Saltana. I personally believe that number 4-7 was really great and should have been the top 4 spots. #4 was Hilltop Hoods, 1975 a really chill rap song. Then #5 was the amazingly talented Childish Gambino with his song Redbone, his second song on the list seeing at #88 he has Me And Your Mama. #6 was a really great like a version cover of Believe. Then at #7 was Papercuts by Illy his 14th song on the Hottest 100. To finish off the top 10 we had Say It by Flume, Stranger by Peeking Duk and Starboy by The Weekend.
